It’s that time a year again…where Starbucks taunts us vegas with their Pumpkin Spice Latte. Word has gotten around by now to most vegans, that the PSL is not vegan. If you didn’t know that, I’m sorry to be the one to tell you. Even ordering it with soy milk, it contains condensed nonfat milk. Boo! Hiss!
In a quest to make my own at home, I came across this recipe. I haven’t made it yet, but I’m going to try to this week.

No …I did not know this! UH! Just had one the other day. Thanks!! Is ANYTHING at Starbucks vegan??? Not happy…

I know… 🙁 I also believe that if you have a soy caramel latte, the caramel sauce has dairy in it. What the heck is dairy doing in caramel sauce?!

I bet all their specialty seasonal drinks have some dairy in them, BOOO! Their eggnog latte was my favorite, back in my pregan days. Thankfully there are now so many vegan eggnoggs in the stores so I can make my own version at home.

Pregan!I love that 🙂 Luckily, I was never a big eggnog fan, but that PSL was a favorite back in the day!

Wow, I was just thinking about getting a PSL tomorrow since the weather here was going to be cooling down. It really is (well, was) my fav Starbucks drink…:( Oh, well. Now I have an even better excuse to not drop silly amounts of money on their drinks.

I know, I used to get soy-caramel lattes, but quit the caramel (it usually has dairy) and I have to say, I like them better without it–they were too sweet anyway. Although a tiny bit of agave is a nice touch.
